Carson County Record Contacts

This is a private reference site, not a Carson County or Texas government office. We cannot verify custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the government office that holds the record.

Carson County does not publish a jail roster, release list, or dedicated records-unit hours online. Call before an in-person visit and use a written Texas Public Information Act request when you need an existing jail release or transfer record.

Carson County Sheriff

P.O. Box 972
Panhandle, TX 79068

Phone: 806-537-3511
Fax: 806-537-3514
Records hours: not published; call to confirm the accepted request or visit channel.

Court files can supply the order, judgment, bond disposition, sentence, or discharge that explains a jail exit. The combined clerk contact serves both county and district routing, though the office says it has no duty to conduct a broad search for a requester.

Use these routes for the type of information involved:

  • For a named released person or county jail release record, follow the complete workflow on the home page, then contact the Sheriff for the official entry.
  • For community supervision after release, use Post-Release Supervision. Carson County parole cases map to the Amarillo District Parole Office, 5809 South Western Street, Suite 120, Amarillo, TX 79110, phone 806-355-9218.
  • For people released during a defined day, see 24-Hour Releases. Carson has no online feed, so an official list requires a date-bounded request to the Sheriff.
  • For timing or notifications, compare Release Date Lookup with the current county-notification route explained under VINE Inmate Check.
  • For a specific custody system, open the matching facility page in the footer.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the TDCJ inmate search for current custody or the TDCJ Public Information Act form for historical records.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons or ICE page listed below. Those systems do not establish a Carson County jail release by themselves.
